Smudging with sage has become overwhelmingly popular over the past decade. However, it is traditionally a native american rite that is practiced with purpose and intention. It’s done to clear away negativity. Sage is being overharvested to meet the demands of its new popularity, but you can use other plants and herbs, ethically, seasonally harvested.
